For FFP certification, a mask must not only exhibit a defined deposition value in short-term penetration, but also over a long period of time, or even after exposure to larger quantities of aerosols. In this test, the mask is therefore loaded with a total of 120 mg of the test aerosol. During the entire procedure, the penetration must not exceed a prescribed limit (e. g. 6% for an FFP2 mask).
